Must try Valentine Recipes:
Chocolate Pretzels in Mason Jars
I got this idea from Pintrest. I wanted to do something super fun for Valentines Day one year and chocolate pretzels was what I picked. To my surprise, after I posted a picture of my pretzels on Facebook, people actually asked if I was selling them. I didn’t plan on selling in the beginning. My plan was to give them out to family members but hey…..I ended up selling a few jars.
This was pretty easy to make. I of course purchased a bag of pretzels from the store, along with white and milk chocolate wafers and a variety of different sprinkles. I bought the mason jars and the fabric between the top and the glass from Hobby Lobby.

Simple Ingredients
- A big bag of pretzels
- Sprinkles of your choice
- White and milk chocolate wafers
Steps
1
Gather a small pan where the chocolate will melt. I personally put a little milk in my chocolate as it slowly melts in the pan.
2
Once the chocolate has melted and has become smooth, quickly dip a pretzel in the chocolate and sprinkle your sprinkles on top.
3
Place the chocolate dipped pretzel in a baking sheet to dry. White chocolate takes a little longer to dry FYI.
Mini Heart-Shaped Pizzas
Years ago I made heart-shaped mini pizzas for Valentines Day. I like to keep it short, sweet and simple when it comes to cooking sometimes and this idea was perfect at the time. I shaped the dough myself without a shaper because at that time, I didn’t know where I’d even find one. It was super easy to shape the dough like a heart, it may not be perfect but I think others will see heart.
You of course can make these anyway you choose. For example I prefer just cheese on my pizza, but my boyfriend at the time like serval toppings on his pizza so I included pepperoni and sausage for his mini pizza.

Simple Ingredients
- Pre-made Pizza dough (I bought dough from a local farmers market)
- Pizza sauce of your choice
- A handful of mozzarella cheese
- Other toppings of your choice
- Olive oil
Steps
1
Collect all necessary ingredients for your meal, pizza dough, pizza sauce, proteins, and cheese. Ensure you have everything you need before starting.
2
You will start by shaping the dough into a heart to the best of your ability. Curl the outter end of dough after shaping it.
3
Lightly brush the outter end of the dough with olive oil. After you’ve prepped the dough, start pre-heating the oven at 400 degrees.
4
Once the dough is shaped and the olive oil has been applied, gently spread the pizza sauce on the dough evenly. When you are satisfied with your sauce, you will then evenly spread the cheese on top of the sauce. Other toppings of your choice can now be spread on top of the cheese.
5
Prepare a baking sheet on a baking pan. Gently place the pizzas onto the baking pan and into the oven it will go. Allow the pizzas to bake for 25 minutes or until they are nice and brown around the edges.
6
After the pizzas are fully cooked, allow them to cool for at least 5 minutes and serve.
