One day while I was looking at cooking videos on social media. I came across a video of the “Pasta Queen” were she made Italian styled crostini’s and boy did they look tasty. I really liked that the dish didn’t look over the top. It was just a simple attractive dish. The only catch was, the main actor in her crostini’s were tomatoes. I’m not the biggest fan of tomatoes unless the tomatoes are cooked. I’m the type of person that wants to barely taste the tomatoes, but can still taste them at the same time a little. I know that sounds weird.
Crostini’s are the picture perfect hors d’ oeuvres (finger foods) for brunch, dinner parties or cocktail parties. This type of dish is normally served prior to the actual meal, but I like to eat on finger foods as the meal sometimes because they can fill you up pretty good.
Being a big crostini fan, I’m sharing some of my super favorite and oh so yummy crostinis that I love to make.
Preparing Crostinis

- You can either buy precut baguette slices or buy the baguette whole and slice the bread.
- You can drizzle the toasted slices with olive oil but personal like to also drizzle vinaigrette. Afterwards season with a little salt and pepper.
- Bake in the over for about 10 minutes and once halfway until a little brown. Set aside to cool.
